A Family Resort in the Maldives

The island is a nature’s paradise for children, and our dedicated playground is one of the largest in South Asia – spanning the size of six tennis courts! Your children have the free run of two pools, a water slide and rooms for dressing up, Lego, music and more. Everything is overseen by qualified childminders, while older children and teens also have access to Soneva Academy, unlocking the knowledge and expertise of our Sonevians.

Inspired by childhood wonder, The Den is one of the largest children’s club in the Maldives and South Asia. Covering more than 1,365 sqm (14,693 sq ft), an area greater than six tennis courts, it is packed with exciting, one-of-a-kind activities and experiences for our youngest guests. A playground for the imagination, it has two shallow, family-friendly swimming pools, an eight-metre tall pirate ship and giant musical piano keys built into the floor.

Inside this technology-free zone, children can enjoy some quiet time in the library or learning area, or unleash their creativity in a music room filled with instruments, the dress-up room, and Lego and Duplo room, housing more than 8,000 pieces. There’s also a cinema for movie nights, cooking classes and a weekly programme of complimentary experiences, tailored to Young Sonevians and their families.

While parents enjoy some me-time, our experienced child minders are always on hand to watch over children’s every move and ensure they enjoy every moment in a safe and secure environment.

A Haven for Adventurous Teens

Whatever their tastes, older children and teenagers will find something to love at Soneva Fushi. For families with teens, The Den features its very own lounge area where they can relax and unwind, perhaps with a beach read recommended by our Barefoot Bookseller. They can join the fun-packed weekly activity programme, whether showing off their culinary skills in Junior Masterchef, playing beach volleyball, star-gazing or dancing at the disco. And an array of rare Conscious Experiences are designed to inspire, from visits to our local islands or restoring coral reefs with our Marine Biologist.

常见问题

As a family resort in the Maldives, The Den and its programme are designed for children aged four and above, however children of all ages are welcome. Children aged four and above can visit The Den without their parents under the careful supervision of our child minders. We request that children under the age of four are accompanied by a parent or babysitter at all times. The Den is a family-friendly area and parents are very welcome to spend time with their children in the pool, on the sun-loungers or playing in one of our various activity rooms.

At Soneva Fushi, babysitting is priced per hour, per babysitter at USD 35++ from 8 am to 11 pm and USD 45++ from 11 pm to 8 am.

The Den is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00. We do not close for lunch, so families and children can order In-Villa Dining to The Den should they wish to eat there. As well as our weekly programme of day-time activities, we also organise several evening activities for our young guests, such as Movie Night Under The Stars and a Sandbank Mocktail Party, where our Hosts are on-hand to facilitate playtime, story time, shadow puppets and more.

The Den is complimentary for all in-house guests. We also offer a weekly programme of complimentary activities for all our younger guests, which includes pool parties, tours of Eco Centro, cooking classes and more.
