Scoundrel
A pirate of
The outer rim
This rogue lives life
Out on a limb
Armed with blaster
And his pal
This scoundrel searches
Grim locale
For different ways
To make a buck
Because in debt
He is now stuck
To a big slug
Who runs a gang
If not paid back
They’ll see him hang
They’ll send the beady
Black eyed lizard
To hunt him down
Rip out his gizzard
Or maybe send
The lanky ‘bot
Who doesn’t miss
A single shot
Or worst of all
They may call in
The Mandalore
Who’s never been
Known to lose
A hunted prey
Disintegration
“Just my day!”
He touches down
On Tatooine
The dullest world
He’s ever seen
But something tells him
He’s got a feeling
Pretty soon
He will be dealing
With someone
Who’ll bail his butt
Out of his jam
With that fat Hutt
The big fur ball
Comes up behind
Say’s he just
Made a big find
An old man that
He used to know
Twenty some odd
Years ago
He needs a ride
To Alderaan
The old man’s good
It’s not a con
“Ain’t that a switch?”
The pirate thinks
A customer
With no hijinx
“Grab that table”
He tells his mate
He always likes
To make them wait
He sees the man
He’s so damn old!
That fossil must be
Growing mold
He’s with a kid
Looks like a dope
But they may be
This rogue’s new hope
As the old man
Pulls up a chair
The rogue sees something
In his robes glare
The laser sword
He used to slice
That idiot
Who paid the price
For throwing all
His weight around
“‘Bout time someone
Took him down”
The scoundrel takes
A final swig
And gets ready
For the next gig
“They better have
A ton of creds
Or that fat slug
Will have our heads”
He gets a tingle
As he strides
To the old man
But this rogue hides
His feeling that
There’s something strange
About this man
That he’ll bring change
That he’s surrounded
By a force
Which will put his
Plans back on course
He takes a seat
Beside his buddy
Hopes this deal
Won’t end up bloody
His blaster’s always
Within reach
Fully charged
One bolt each
But things go well
Old man’s legit
But before
The rogue can split
The beady eyed
Lizard shows
Reminding of
The debt he owes
He threatens to
Take the rogue’s ship
Too bad for him
In the rogue’s grip
Is his charged blaster
He never waits
The scoundrel never
Hesitates
Before the lizard
Takes a shot
The rogue shoots first
From the blind spot
He flips a coin
To the barkeep
Time to blast
Off of this heap
Hopefully
That’s the last bout
Smooth sailing
From here on out
