“The single biggest problem in communication
is the illusion that it has taken place.” ~George Bernard Shaw

Someone took the time to write
To you to ask a question
They sent an e-mail so I’d like
To make you this suggestion:

Someone sent a text and is
Awaiting your response
Do not wait ‘till later and
Treat it with nonchalance

Some archaic soul decided
To send in the mail
An old fashioned printed letter
And wants to hear your tale

Someone left a message on
Your answering machine
They wouldn’t waste their breath if they
Knew you’d just wipe it clean

Someone took the time to tweet
Or post to say “well done”
Show some gratitude ‘cause when
You’re silent you show none

Someone posted this here rhyme
In hopes it would inspire
Think about what you have read
And if you do admire:

Thank you Sue, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you! Much like Christians, some warriors may have different denominations (poet, spirit, peaceful, etc) but in the end, the important thing is we’re all warriors. Thanks for reading, sister warrior.
      Peace & grace,

Great reminder, my friend. I’m always ‘procrastinating’ my responses until I ‘have time’ to sit and be with the space of the ‘reply.’ Your prose puts in perspective that someone cared enough to reach out, to connect – so why not take a moment out to honor their communication and just respond. Thank you.

    Much love. xoxo

Exactly, it only takes a moment, but we automatically think it’ll take much longer. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful Christmas!

I’ve heard said promptness in response is not only a sign of respect but an act of charity. But it seems for me time often gets in the way…thank you for the gentle reminder. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

It doesn’t take much time, only a moment. Thanks for reading & replying. 🙂 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

I somehow feel guilty about it because mostly if I received messages, notes or something I reply it during my schedule of updating my personal stuff, thank you so much for sharing reminders… Have a blessed X’mas Miro and to the family … 🙂

Feels kinda nice, answered ALL of my email!!! Sometimes, unfortunately, someone needs to knock another on the backside of the head, like me, to be reminded of what is important! Thanks for the figurative smack!

Miro, communication must come from the heart of the soul if it is not be misused or ultimately ignored. This is my constant prayer for my own writing, and consists of a large part of my prayers of thanksgiving for your insights and inspirations and wisdom posted here. P.S. LOVE the Santa-hatted samurai!

In this day of hurry, hurry, hurry, your words are a great reminder to slow down a bit with a show of care even with a few words.
