Clean Christians

3 Oct

Here’s a poem about self-righteous and pious “Christians” who make too big stink over swearing, nudity and other “lewdness” and let these inconsequential things blind them from the big picture. I do believe they’ve lost the fuckin’ plot. ;)

Clean Christians

“Please no swearing! No lewdness and please no nudity!”
These taboo topics make so many stuck-up Christians flee
They do refuse to watch movies and TV shows which feature
Any of these “dirty things” because of what their preacher

Told them on a Sunday morn, “These things will lead to Hell!”
“Jesus Christ” is what I think and what I also tell
All these stuck-up “Christians” who see filth and run away
“Jesus Christ, you know the guy to whom you all do pray?

Yes, Jesus Christ, the man who did surround Himself with those
Who did not have the cleanest language or the nicest clothes
His posse was composed of not the cleanest men around
And all those pious, “Holy” places? Christ could not be found

He walked headlong into the places that were not pristine
You think He only spoke to those who kept their language clean?
You think He did refuse to speak to girls who bared their breasts?
I have a feeling that He did not just limit His quests

To places that were prim and proper, “Holy” and reserved”
And that is why these hypocrite “Christians” make us unnerved
They claim to follow in the steps of someone who stood fast
While their King did illuminate, they run away aghast

While their King made an effort to show grace, love, understanding
“Clean Christians” do get appalled and walk away, remanding
With all due respect to them, to HELL with what they think
Fuck their lack of empathy and Kool-Aid that they drink

Fuck their lack of heart and soul that should be showed in each
And every single action that they practice and they preach
Fuck their search for perfection, my Savior has taught me
There’s no such thing, but if you take a closer look, you’ll see

Beauty in the ones who swear, selflessness in those nude
Grace possessed by those unkempt and courage in the lewd
To all the “Christians” who have been mislead to think they follow
A perfect, pious Savior, here’s a filthy pill to swallow

                                                                God bless ;)

Ugly

27 Jun

“Beauty is variable, ugliness is constant.” ~Douglas Horton

Ugly

I know someone who’s quite ugly
I speak not of their face
They have a blemish that make-up
And lipstick can’t erase

Their eyes are quite alluring and
Their cheeks have pinkish hue
But despite their pretty face
They’re ugly through and through

They think only about themselves
And about their own views
They’d never be caught dead walking
A mile in your shoes

They think that they are always right
And never are at fault
They think because they’re pretty that
Their words do not insult

They have entitlement issues
They think the world does owe
Because of good genetics that
They’re so eager to show

One day life will slap the wrinkles
Right into their faces
And they won’t have their good looks to
Get into our good graces

Time will pull down on their skin
And make their eyes look tired
All the make-up in the world
Won’t make them more desired

And then they’ll have to face the truth
Which will cause them to pout:
They won’t have courage, grace and love
To make true beauty sprout

Youthful skin won’t hide their scowl
Or their lack of peace
Their true selves will be magnified
With every facial crease

And that’s when ugly people have
A slice of humble pie
When skin-deep beauty starts to be
In very short supply

When they cannot do anything
To stop what nature takes
When their vision starts to go
And when their body aches

They start to realize that they’re
Not perfect after all
Maybe they contributed
To every single brawl

And maybe then they’ll be able
To say “I’m sorry too”
“Now I see that the whole blame
Did not lay just on you”

It takes two people to argue
And to engage in war
Fights happen when one puts down
Their foot and says, “No more!”

To the beautiful uglies
Who are so conceited
Keep in mind what is in store
For your beauty ahead

Remember that your flesh and bone
Lasts only a few years
Everything that’s physical
One day just disappears

True beauty’s in virtues like
Benevolence and grace
And doesn’t have the slightest thing
To do with your cute face

Diva

26 Jul

Diva

I had the chance the other day
To shoot a video
The team that came together has
Left me with quite a glow

Actors, singers and the crew
Worked very hard that day
Everyone came to have fun
But one came just for pay

We had the misfortune to have
A Diva on the set
This spoiled brat acted as if
We all owed her a debt

But since I always like to have
An attitude to show
I’m thankful for the things I have
I thought I’d let her know

I’m thankful for the work she’s made
For me when editing
The hours it will take to make
This Diva look something

Like an actress with talent
But it will take much cutting
Her lack of personality
And skill is very jutting

I could forgive the attitude
If she just brought the goods
Unfortunately she stunk worse than
Some bear crap in the woods

Thanks for acting like you didn’t
Want to be on set
For acting like a brat because
You almost broke a sweat

Thanks for not wanting to shoot
The scene we wrote for you
For walking out as “Action!” called
And holding up the crew

Thanks for not seeing how hard
The dancers worked all day
Burning feet on scorching ground
And no complaints to say

Thanks for having no idea
Of what acting entails
For breaking character to check
The status of your nails

Thanks for booking one more gig
Later that same night
And making our schedule
Incredibly tight

So tight that we didn’t have
Time to sit and eat
Rushing the entire day
While you took time to tweet

And what I’m really grateful for
Was how you dragged your ass
For those final shots in which
You showed so little class

As time ticked away so fast
I thought you’d get in gear
But the less time that we had
The heavier your rear

And when I thanked you for your time
And all of your “hard” work
Thanks for being such a cold
Pretentious stuck-up jerk

When I told you how you screwed
The crew with plans you made
Thanks for your selfish response
Of “I gotta get paid”

It’s probably quite obvious
I’m being sarcastic
I’m actually not thankful for
Your Diva-licious schtick

But there is in fact one thing
I am quite grateful for
The inspiration to write this
And spread your Diva lore

To other folks who come across
Your “beautiful” headshot
The camera may show off your looks
But one thing was not caught

Your awful, selfish attitude
That you just cannot hide
Good luck with seeing how many
Others let it slide
