“Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” ~Elizabeth Stone
Mothers
There was a woman who decided
To give up her hold
On her own heart for something more
Precious to her than gold
It was more precious than diamonds
Or any other jewel
It was for diapers, crying and
Puréed carrots and drool
It was for sickness, broken hearts
Drama, uncertainty
It was to be a mother which she
Was so proud to be
The child knows not how they’ve carried
Their mother’s heart from birth
And carry it along with them
No matter where on Earth
They travel to, no matter how far
Life takes them away
How nice for Mothers that their hearts
Come back on Mother’s Day
~for Mom

What a beautiful and fitting tribute to your Mother, Miro!
A beautiful tribute to your Mom, Miro~
Lovely tribute!
This poem moved me deeply, Miro. Thank you for honoring YOUR mother…and in so doing, honoring ALL mothers. xoxo
Very nice, as always!

Touched me immensely….mothers are precious, incomparable, and the most wonderful people God created. God could not be there individually for each and every one of us; so he created mothers!
Keep us inspiring, and keep writing, Miro.
Oh this is so beautiful Miro such a lovely tribute to your mom
Beautiful, a moving way to say thank-you to moms!
My own dear children and grandchildren send me their hearts through cyberspace daily! For those of us with children working geographically distant from us, the internet is heaven sent. Such loving posts as this one here prove that to me,Miro!
