Arsenal’s Thomas Partey aims brutal dig at Manchester United after Newcastle United defeat

by Derick Kinoti

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey took a swipe at Manchester United after the Red Devils fell to a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United.

Goals from former Arsenal man Joe Willock and Callum Wilson were enough to sink Erik ten Hag’s men, who have been struggling for form in the Premier League since their Carabao Cup triumph at Wembley against Newcastle.

Partey, who has been an integral player for league leaders Arsenal, was filmed having dinner with Ghanaian media personality Nana Aba Anamoah.

Nana Aba, who herself appears to be a United supported told Partey, “Arsenal fans. I’m here with your super-duper midfielder.”

Nana Aba then asks Partey to say something to the Arsenal fans.

The camera panned around to the Arsenal star who pauses momentarily before saying, “Hello!”

“Join us in celebration of [Manchester] United’s loss.”

Aba is then seen to be shocked at Partey’s answer as she opened her mouth in disbelief – a light-hearted moment at best that obviously did not go down well with United supporters online.

The result left United 22 points adrift of the Gunners and in fifth position, level on points with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle.

Tottenham have however played two more games than the 20-time English champions.

Speaking during his presser today, Ten Hag was put to task over his team’s poor league form in recent weeks.

A dismissive Ten Hag however brushed off talks that there are problems within the ranks. The Dutchman instead pointed to his side’s FA Cup and Europa League triumphs against Fulham and Real Betis respectively as examples that United are simply going through a temporary dip in performances and results.
